ALL ABOUT A VIEW TO PAINT
Even from my earliest days I’ve adored the landscape in which I lived. The Peak District was part of my every day life as a child and I’d spend much of my time visiting with my family it’s many dramatic landscapes which always evoked a mass of emotions which I was lucky enough to express through painting. Through family holidays I began visiting Scotland whose dramatic mountains, lochs and seascapes stole my heart.

After studying for 4 years I gained a BA(Hons) Fine art degree at Coventry School of Art where I painted and used printmaking to explore my love of landscape and my primary focus was the Highlands and islands of Scotland.

After graduation I lived in Leicestershire for a few years before moving to Scotland in 2004. I was lucky to have retreat at Kippford in Dumfries and Galloway and was inspired to return to my art by the coastal views and amazing skies.

Ever since I’ve been painting the most inspirational views that for me evoke a range of emotions and capture the beauty of the landscape we live within.
